AFC 100 Remote IO and Controller

The ILS AFC 100 is a managed transmitter and controller.  
Applications can include remote IO, temperature control, pH
control, DO data acquisition, ORP data acquisition, and
general raw-analog-to-scaled-analog and analog-to-digital.

    temperature with a DC signal to an external heater
    (SSR) or other controller.

  • Optional touchscreen that can configure multiple STP
    devices.  If a touchscreen is desired a single
    touchscreen can configure multiple STP devices.    

  • Accepts 3 4-20 mA analog inputs and
    converts/scales/calibrates to Modbus digital output.  
    Particularly useful for signals that require calibration e.g.
    pH/orp/DO.  

  • Includes 2 relays, with standard wall plugs, used for
    control of pumps (pH control) and/or external relays
    (temperature control, etc.)  

  • The STP also scales the raw analog input and produces
    4-20 mA, scaled analog outputs that can be connected
    to external devices.  For example, the external output
    signal always has the same scaling e.g. 4 mA
    represents 2 pH and 20 mA represents 14 pH.  

  • Connect  the analog outputs to other devices such as
    PLC, DCS, PACS, etc.  Have a consistent scaling of the
    analog signal for those devices.  

  • User configurable parameters include scaling/calibration
    (DO, pH, temperature, etc.) and controller limits for the
    relay control.

  • Multiple AFC 100's can be daisy chained together.  
    External communication is through Modbus RS485 serial
    communication.  For easy Ethernet communication a
    Kepware Modbus OPC server configuration notes and
    file is available from ILS.

Temperature and pH Control

The ILS STP transmitter and
controller offers and cost-effective
approach for data aqcuisition and
control.  The STP can control
temperature through its built-in
relay by turning on/off an external
hearting/cooling devices (heating
blanket, etc.)  The STP can also
control pH by turning on/off
pumps.  Simply plug the pumps
power directly into the STP relays.

Data acquisition is simple through
the Modbus serial interface.  The
Kepware Modbus OPC server and
related tools can easily configure
the STP remotley, collect data, and
archiove data.

The STP device is fully compatibe
with the ILS Batch Expert SCADA
and other 3rd party PLC or SCADA
systems.
